“What can I do?” This was a question most of us were asking as the tragic events of September 11, 2001 unfolded. “What can I do?” is still a question on our minds. After living through the events and feeling some of the pain that was evident in our entire world, one thing I did was to write a song. I have written hundreds of songs in my life, but this one was truly like no other. It was almost as if a connection was there between all of the souls affected and my fingers on the keyboard and words in my mouth, a connection wanting to ensure a story was told and remembered. A story of tragedy. A story of heroism. A story of sacrifice. A story that would touch the world in such a way as to never let us forget that horrific day, yet one that would instill in each of us the resolve that we will not give in to evil, that we will get through this stronger, and that the lives lost will have not been lost in vain. A story, a song, that would bring us together. A story, a song, that would help us remember. "Remember Me..." is this song.
